During National Health Center Week, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin visited Chestnut Health Systems and discussed the important role that community health centers and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) play in our communities, especially when it comes to the fight against the opioid addiction epidemic. Read more here.


Chestnut Family Health Center continues to care for patients during the COVID-19 outbreak. To comply with social distancing recommendations, we are offering some appointments by telephone or video. Our in-house Genoa Pharmacy is offering curbside pick-up and mail order delivery. For patients who are seen in the office, we are doing extra cleaning and have a number of precautions in place to protect your health and ours. During the outbreak, we are following these guidelines:

  • If you have a fever, cough, difficulty breathing or have been near someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to our office even if you have an appointment. Please call our office for an over-the-phone evaluation by our staff.
  • If you have concerns about coming to our office for a scheduled appointment, please call our office at least one day before your appointment to talk with staff.
